Erekat: Abbas to meet with Feltman Monday

Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat revealed that Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas will meet on Monday with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Jeffrey Feltman to discuss efforts aimed at reviving the peace process, and Washington’s call for both Israelis and Palestinians to go back to the negotiating table.       

“The U.S. and Israel’s request for the Palestinians to resume negotiations is in line with the Peace Quartet’s statement stipulating that both parties must submit their suggestions on borders and security before setting a new date to resume negotiations”, Erekat said.         

He added that Palestinians already submitted their suggestions, while Israel has, until now, refused to do so.
