Damascus Mufti visits Patriarch Rai at Bkerke

Damascus Mufti Sheikh Adnan Afiuni arrived in Bkerke Wednesday afternoon on the head of a delegation of Christian and Muslim religious figures, accompanied by the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali to meet with Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai.

The delegation congratulated Rai and thanked him for his positions on Syria, adding that the visit to Lebanon will only include Bkerke.

The delegation included Secretary of the Syrian Dar Al-Fatwa Sheikh Alaeddin Zaatari, Information Director in the Syrian Ministry of Endowments Haitham Jalloul, Syriac Orthodox Bishop of Damascus Jean Kawak, Businessman Simon Beshara Nkoula and Sheikh Mohammad Kheir al-Terchan.
