Iran: Suspect in Saudi ambassador plot is an opposition figure

Iran sent a letter to the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon on Saturday in which it confirmed that one of the suspects Washington accused of plotting to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington, belongs to the People's Mujahedin of Iran (MKO), Teheran’s most important armed opposition movement.

The Iranian state-news agency said that after Washington confirmed that one of the suspects is in Iran, the investigation conducted by security forces upon the request of the Interpol proved that the suspect belongs to the People's Mujahedin of Iran (MKO).
