REPORT: Obama administration to defend Iran nuclear deal in Senate
Senators are posing tough questions to top Obama administration officials trying to convince Congress on the Iranian nuclear deal.

The trio of Obama administration officials  Secretary of State John Kerry, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew  are to testify Thursday before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Lawmakers are to ask them about the inspection provisions in the agreement, which calls on Iran to curb its nuclear program in exchange for relief from economic sanctions stifling its economy. They will want to know what Iran will do with the billions it will receive in sanctions relief. And they'll press the administration officials on the military aspects of Iran's nuclear program.

The three were on Capitol Hill on Wednesday for classified briefings on the deal.
