After seven hours of discussions in Vienna, agreement was reached over nine items, but the main issue at heart of the meeting held by the foreign ministers of 17 countries concerned with the Syrian crisis, remained unresolved, as agreement failed regarding the fate of the Syrian President Bashar Assad, the transitional period and its time frame.
