US urges Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah attacks against Israel
The United States urged on Saturday the Lebanese government to prevent Hezbollah "fighters" from firing rockets towards Israel as tensions escalate in the region.
 
This as the US State Department spokesman Ned Price called on the Lebanese government urgently to prevent such attacks and to bring back the region under its control.
 
Price also stressed that the United States “strongly encourages all efforts to maintain calm.”

Yesterday, Lebanon and Israel traded a volley of rockets and artillery fire, as tension on the border continued to rise.
 
No casualties were recorded from both sides.
