Russia regrets Kyiv severed ties with Moscow - Russian foreign ministry official

Russia said on Friday it regretted that Ukraine had taken the step to break all diplomatic ties with Moscow. Foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova was speaking at a media briefing in Moscow, a day after Russian forces launched a massive military operation against Ukraine.

"We deeply regret that the Kyiv regime has chosen the path of severing all its ties with Russia and everything linked to anything Russian," Maria Zakharova said at her weekly briefing.
