Canada announces registration of first two cases of monkeypox
Canada announced On Thursday evening the registration of the first two cases of monkeypox in humans, following a series of cases of this virus in Europe as well.
 
According to the Public Health Agency of Canada, “Quebec has been notified of a positive monkeypox test result in two samples received by the National Microbiology Laboratory. These are Canada’s first two confirmed cases."
 
Other suspected cases are being investigated in the French-speaking city of Montreal, according to Canadian authorities. The Regional Department of Public Health of Montreal reported 17 suspected cases.
