Jordanian army kills four drug smugglers trying to cross border from Syria
The Jordanian army killed four smugglers and wounded others while they were attempting to cross the border from Syria with large quantities of drugs in their possession.
 
The statement quoted an official military source in the General Command of the Armed Forces as saying that "The frontier observations of the Border Guard forces, in coordination with the security services and the Anti-Drug Department, spotted a group of people coming from Syrian territory to the Jordanian one, and they tried to cross the border illegally with the support of armed groups. 
 
The source added that today’s operation that took place at dawn, resulted in the killing of 4 smugglers, injuring a number of them, as others fled toward Syria.
