Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said on Tuesday that work must be done to prevent Lebanon from slipping into chaos, adding that the Syrian crisis must be resolved and that the political track is the only way to do so.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Safadi described the assassination of al-Jazeera reporter Shereen abou Aqleh and the events surrounding her funeral as "horrific," adding that the main issue now is to find a political solution to the conflict as soon as possible.

He emphasized that they oppose any invasion, violation of a country's sovereignty, or aggression against its territorial integrity.

He believed that the war in Ukraine would have an impact on all of us, and that we would have to work together to deal with the consequences.
