Tougher sanctions to be placed on Russian economy, especially defense sector
A senior White House official confirmed on Monday that the G7 countries which are meeting in Germany, will tighten grips on the Russian economy by establishing a "mechanism for setting a global price ceiling on Russian oil."

The official stated that these countries will continue to work together to limit Russia's access to critical industrial resources, particularly in the defense sector, and that the G7 countries will coordinate "to use customs taxes on Russian products in order to help Ukraine.
