Kiev and Moscow trade accusations over Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station
At a time when the UN Secretariat demanded a halt to all military activity near the Ukrainian Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station, Kiev and Moscow traded accusations in the UN Security Council on Tuesday of endangering the facility's security.
The Ukrainian armed forces "continue to almost daily bombard the territory of the nuclear power plant, creating a real danger of a radiological accident with serious repercussions for the entire European continent," according to Vasily Nebenzi, the Russian ambassador to the UN.
