Spain ramps up pressure on Israel with restrictions on sea and air arms shipments

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said on Monday that his government will step up pressure on Israel by banning ships and planes bound for the country and carrying weapons from docking at Spanish ports or entering Spanish airspace.

He added that Spain will also increase its aid to the Palestinian Authority and the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), and will impose a ban on goods manufactured in Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
