Israel appoints first resident ambassador to Slovenia

Israel announced on Sunday the appointment of its first resident ambassador to Slovenia, in a move marking a return to full diplomatic representation following changes in the government in Ljubljana.

Relations between Israel and Slovenia had been strained under the previous center-left government of Robert Golob, which described Israel’s war in Gaza as “genocide.”
