REPORT: Civil Defense Marine Rescue Unit monitors the Lebanese shores

The Civil Defense Marine Rescue Unit is monitoring almost 240 kilometers of the Lebanese shores, from Al-Abdeh towards An-Naqoura to rescue any person who might be at risk while swimming.      

In this regard, the Head of the Civil Defense Rescue Unit, Samir Yazbeck told LBCI that most of this year’s victims drowned in regions that are not monitored by municipalities.             

This report will examine the work of the aforementioned rescue unit which is made up of 150 volunteers as well as the awareness campaigns carried out by various organizations.
