REPORT: Gemayel slams Hezbollah military intervention in Syria as Kataeb marks its 77th anniversary

Kataeb party celebrated on Sunday the 77th anniversary of its establishment  during a ceremony at the Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Center (Biel) in the presence of political and social figures, as well as partisans of the party.

Kataeb party leader Amine Gemayel delivered a speech in which he slammed Hezbollah military involvement in Syria, saying Lebanon cannot bear the results of its actions.

He also accused the armed group of “taking unilateral decisions in deciding the fate of the Lebanese people.”

Gemayel  made his speech as the party celebrated the founding of the party and remembered its martyrs, mainly former Industry Minister Pierre Gemayel.
He told his supporters and top officials present at the ceremony that his “party served the interests of Lebanon.

“The martyr lives forever,” his brother MP Sami Gemayel said earlier when he took to the podium along with Pierre's two sons.

“The more you try to kill the Kataeb,” the more the supporters of the party will expand, MP Gemayel said.
