REPORT: The case against Father Panteleimon Farah

A group that calls itself “Spiritual Sons of Father Panteleimon Farah” expressed on Sunday its disapproval of yesterday’s report aired on LBCI’s night bulletin.  

The group stressed that the comparison of Father Panteleimon Farah case to the one of Father Mansour Labaki’s was misplaced.    

“In the case of Father Labaki, a court decision was issued by the highest ecclesiastic authorities whereas in the case of Father Farah no decision was taken though many accusations aim to discredit him in order to remove his name from the list of the potential candidates to the position of Archdiocese”, the group said in a statement. 

This issue created unrest as ecclesiastic sources informed about the investigation told LBCI that he was accused of child molestation which started 10 years ago but the church only took action following the molestation scandal of a 13 year old boy in 2012.
