REPORT: Thousands of Christians celebrate Easter in Lebanon
In celebration of Easter Sunday, the Beirut Maronite Bishop Boulos Matar held on Saturday midnight a Mass at the Saint George Maronite Cathedral in Beirut.

During his sermon, Bishop Matar stressed the need to hold the upcoming presidential elections on their due time.

In turn, Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church for the Archdiocese of Beirut Metropolitan Elias Aoude hoped that all the kidnapped would be returned to their relatives, including Bishops Boulos Yazigi of the Greek Orthodox Church and John Ibrahim of the Assyrian Orthodox Church who were kidnapped on April 22 while traveling outside the northern city of Aleppo.
