REPORT: Lebanese citizens defy Israel’s swimming ban on Wazzani River

The owners of parks, adjacent to the Wazzani River, stressed that they will proceed with their lives as per normal and in defiance of warnings issued by Israel prohibiting the use of the river.

Israel has claimed that the Blue Line passes through the Wazzani River and Bir Blida in southern Lebanon.

The claim was coupled with a swimming ban on the part of Wazzani that Israel alleges falls under its control as well as the use of the water well in Blida.
