Health Minister Wael Abou Faour held Wednesday a press conference, whereby he tackled the issue of food safety in Lebanon, mentioning several corruption-related issues detected at a number of restaurants, stores and depots.
In this regard, Abou Faour reopened the file of unhealthy sugars found in Tripoli port, noting that he agreed with Economy Minister Alain Hakim over the need to treat the dire situation at the depots.
On another note, the minister pointed out that, in light of the tests carried out on food samples, it turned out that all types of spices used do not conform to the required conditions.
