REPORT: Lebanon’s Health Minister orders probe into child death
Lebanon’s Health Minister Wael Abou Faour called on Monday for an “immediate” investigation into the death of child Abdel Raouf Mounir al-Hawli, with the Akkar hospitals of Rahhal and el-Yousef which refused to receive the child, according to his father.

Minister Abou Faour asked the child’s father to head to his ministry in order to provide the concerned officials with the needed information, and summoned the directors of the relevant hospitals. Measures will be taken based on the outcome of investigations.

“Nothing will compensate for the loss of the infant,” Abou Faour said, stressing that he is committed to granting all Lebanese citizens their right to be hospitalized with dignity.
