REPORT: FM Bassil says targeting terrorism by air force is not sufficient
Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil stated on Monday that targeting terrorist organizations by air force is not sufficient; pointing out that the Lebanese Army chose direct confrontation in the field.

During a meeting for Arab Foreign Minister in Cairo, Minister Bassil emphasized that Lebanese Armed Forces are in dire need for military, intelligence, and financial support.

“We are committed to our borders and culture, which are both the reflection of our rejection of the Islamic State,” Bassil said.

In this regard, Minister Bassil stated that major dangers are threatening the Arab world, adding Lebanon may no longer bear the burden of Syrian refugees.
