This year’s elections do not only require the competing lists to collect votes, but to reach a certain “electoral quotient” as a minimum in order for the candidate to be able to book his/her seat in the parliament, since every list that does not guarantee an “electoral quotient” will be ruled out when distributing the seats according to proportional system.
This quotient varies depending on the electoral district’s size and number of registered voters.
