The Cabinet reconvened on Wednesday to discuss judicial appointments while the Trade Union Coordinating Body demonstrated to call for the ratification of the series of ranks and salaries.

Meanwhile, new developments are taking place in Syria, but all these events are most likely to be placed aside, with May Chidiac's story stealing the limelight.

After announcing that she will be running for Parliament, May Chidiac was subject to the harshest and most discriminatory attacks.

Those attacks reached no bound. Although May had lost lost a leg and an arm in an assassination attempt, sticklers of discrimination focused this time on her physical disability.

This form of discrimination doesn't need a law to ban or prohibit whether in real life or on social media platforms.

However, May Chidiac’s case showed that discrimination is invading Lebanese society; it’s crossing religious boundaries, political parties, and even its citizens.

This behavior demonstrates that the main problem lies in the Lebanese peoples' line of thought, which allows them to classify others as "disabled."

This way of thought shows that our only incapacity lies within our thinking.
