REPORT: No more freedom in Beirut

"My Last Valentine in Beirut" was not removed from Lebanese cinemas, but the Order of Nurses filed a lawsuit calling on the movie's producer Salim al-Turk to remove the scenes showing the main actress in a nurse's uniform and performing acts described by the Order as "pornographic and evocative".

In this context, the lawyer of the Order of Nurses noted that they refuse to tarnish the image of the nurse while performing her job.

Accordingly, the censorship of the films in Lebanon could be summarized as follows: the religious censorship rejects a movie, the general security objects on another and the unions finally interfere, demanding the change of events of the movie.
