Minister of Health Firas Abiad received on Thursday at the Rafic Hariri University Hospital medicines donated by "Medis" factory in Tunisia, including medicines for the treatment of cancerous diseases and others for chronic and acute diseases.
Abiad noted that the donation “came at a very appropriate time to cover part of the shortage of medicines that the country needs at this difficult time that Lebanon is going through.”
For his part, Tunisian ambassador Burawi al-Imam “expressed his happiness for this gift,” thanking Medis for the initiative.
“it is a token of love and brotherhood that translates the depth of the relations that unite Tunisia and Lebanon, which are very ancient relations based on respect,” he added.
