Introduction to the evening news 22-12-2012

The Lebanese cabinet will be convening during the holidays to discuss major issues, among them the case of the Syrian and Palestinian refugees who fled from Syria to Lebanon.

This as, UN-Arab peace envoy Lakhdar Brahimi will be visiting Syria soon while Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated : “The UN Security Council must not take any more ambiguous decisions, especially after our partners behaved so abominably over the resolution on Libya.”

In Egypt, Vice President Mahmoud Mekky announced his resignation, saying he was uncomfortable in politics and prefers his work as a Judge.
