Ministries, Red Cross, Civil Defense prepare for Lebanon's NYE
Rescue teams from the Civil Defense, the Lebanese Red Cross, and the Ministry of Public Works teams are preparing in complete readiness for New Year's Eve.

From 4:00 pm on Saturday, the total mobilization and alertness of the Red Cross will begin until Monday evening. Approximately 775 paramedics will be awake in about 47 centers in all Lebanese regions, and 190 ambulances will be equipped to respond to any emergency, from traffic accidents to health complications.

The four operating rooms in Hazmieh, Tripoli, Zahleh, and Tebnine will be ready and waiting for calls by dialing the emergency number 140. The blood transfusion centers in Spears and Tripoli will also be available for contact through the hotline 1760.

Moreover, more than ten search and rescue teams of the Red Cross will be deployed in the mountain centers in anticipation of any emergency due to the accumulation of snow.

Also, the civil defense will be fully prepared to start its plan at 4:00 pm on Saturday. Approximately 205 gathering points and mobile patrols will be active throughout the Lebanese territory, including 2,500 volunteers and 500 vehicles. Civil defense aims to intervene quickly and will receive calls through the emergency number 125.

As for the mountainous areas, the Civil Defense teams and the Ministry of Works teams will remain ready to respond to any emergency.

Within the emergency plan developed by the government, there is a continuous communication channel between the Ministry of Works, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Tourism.
