REPORT: Traffic law in Lebanon in effect again

The new traffic law became effective again in Lebanon after the Shura Council issued a resolution in this regard.

Law No. 420 increases punishment for road safety violations and reorganizes all pending issues pertaining to traffic alongside driving offices and progressive fines.

The new law supersedes the one from 1967 and was published in the official gazette in October 2012.

In this context, MP Mohammed Qabbani hailed the new traffic law, saying that the Ministry of Education is preparing a TS driving degree.

This report will shed light on the long-awaited traffic law and challenges facing it.
