REPORT: Public Park in Ashrafieh to be turned into parking lot

A public park in Ashrafieh which includes a Jesuit monastery will be turned into a parking lot, ruining what little is left of the city’s remaining green and historic spaces.

In this context, Beirut mayor Bilal Hamad told LBCI that the parking lot will be built under the park, adding that the park will be renovated.

This report will shed light on the stances of Ashrafieh's residents and municipality in this regard.
