Fifty exotic dancers have ridden on top of beach buggies while performing sexy dance routines in a bizarre funeral ceremony for a Taiwanese politician.
The event was organized by the son Chiayi county politician Tung Hsiang. He spoke of his father’s excitement for life, explaining to reason behind his ideas.
The two-hour procession is said to have closed roads around Chiayi city while locals lined the funeral procession route.
Pop music with the lyrical refrain "Shake it for me" was played, while dancers, dressed in skimpy tops and shorts, danced on the vehicles.
The procession was several kilometers long and also featured traditional Taiwanese bands and drummer troupes.
Hsiang died at the age of 76 in December.
He had been speaker and also a council member of Chiayi county’s local government.
