Ministerial sources said on Tuesday that PM Najib Mikati's visit to Qatar came after the
government's internal recovery.
The sources expressed to
Al-Akhbar Daily satisfaction with Mikati's
visit and pointed out that Qatar has expressed its willingness to invest in
economy-related projects in Lebanon.
Mikati's talks with the Qatari prince mainly focused on the region's
situation, as well as Lebanese-Qatari bilateral ties.
The Qatari Prince promised providing all means of comfort and stability to
the Lebanese residing in Qatar.
Sources revealed that Mikati will be visiting various Arab and Western countries.
Lebanese Forces sources said to
Al-Akhbar newspaper that LF Chief Samir
Geagea held in Saudi Arabia 3 meetings with Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
According to the sources, the first meeting witnessed divergence between
them regarding the electoral law, but they finally agreed on the importance of
the 50-districts electoral law and considered that it represents all parties.
Deputy Ahmad Fatfat described the words of the Head of Change and Reform Bloc
MP Michel Aoun regarding the elections as factional and hateful.
Fatfat asked MP Aoun to discuss with Patriarch Rahi the security situation
in Bekaa knowing that the latter toured in the region for 4 days confirming that the region is safe and secure.
Fatfat pointed out that the security situation at the North disapproves Aoun's
allegations and make it clear that elections may be held on time.
Talking to
Al-Liwaa newspaper, MP Fatfat said that Aoun is determined to
discuss the situation in Bekaa for if the outcome of the elections were not to be for
the best of his interest, he will be asking to cancel the electoral process under the
pretext of the Situation in the North.
Security sources said to
Al-Joumhouria on Tuesday that intensive military reinforcements are being sent to the Syrian
borders including 50 tanks and 20 "F16" aircrafts to Diyarbakir
airport in Turkey.
The sources pointed out that a serious suggestion will ask from the NATO to
perform military practices held by Turkish forces on the Syrian border in
parallel to deploying Turkish Strategic Forces on these territories.
A rapid and strong response on the Syrian regime will be announced not only in
land and air sectors, but also in maritime borders.

14 forces said on Tuesday that the national dialogue session will not be
postponed due to Hezbollah's "Ayoub" spy drone sent to Israel and
pointed that disrupting the dialogue may be one of the goals of the "opponents".
An-Nahar newspaper mentioned on Tuesday that the national dialogue which is scheduled on the
12th of November might be postponed for administrative reasons related to the
travel of some officials.
Al-Akhbar newspaper said on Tuesday that the Speaker Nabih Berri issued a
directive that prohibits Deputies and all those working in the building of the parliament
from smoking in hallways and public halls knowing that deputies are not
applying the non-smoking law in governmental buildings.
In another context, no-smoking posters are spread on the walls of the
judicial building in Baabda, but visitors are mentioning that security forces
are rummaging entrants while smoking cigarettes.
