Al Akhbar Daily published on Friday that a meeting was held in Beirut’s Southern Suburb between FPM, Hezbollah and Amal party delegates.
Ministers Gebran Bassil, Mohammad Fneish and Ali Hassan Khalil as well as Hezbollah officials Hussein Khalil and Wafik Safa attended the meeting.
According to sources, the talks featured high on enhancing the work of the parliamentary sub-committee tasked to discuss electoral law proposals.
The sources added that Hezbollah and Amal delegates reiterated their support to any law approved by FPM leader Michel Aoun.
Al Akhbar Newspaper published on Friday that the Change and Reform bloc ministers hindered the endorsement of a law that grants Lebanese women married to a non-Lebanese, the right to pass down their nationalities to their children.
In this context, ministerial sources reported that the report of the ministerial committee in charge of this file included figures about the women who have the right to transfer their nationalities and their children.
According to the report, 76,000 women are married to a non-Lebanese and once the law is endorsed, 380,000 persons will be granted the Lebanese nationality. However, the report show that 4800 women married to Palestinian nationals will pass down their nationality to 84,000 persons. The numbers indicate that approximately each woman would be transferring her nationality to “17 of her children”. The numbers were described as illogical by the ministers protesting the law.
An-Nahar Daily published on Friday that Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros Rai met on Wednesday with Former PM Saad Hariri’s consultants Former Minister Mohammad Shateh and Nader Hariri.
In this context, Shateh stated that Bkerke remains the primary reference to reach "a comprehensive national vision".
According to
Al Akhbar Daily, an inflation occurred in the arms market in Syria due to weapons abundance which increased the exportation of weapons to Lebanon, especially in the northern region of Akkar.
The daily added that the Kalashnikov rifle is sold to Lebanese citizens for 50,000 or 60,000 Syrian Pounds (approximately 1000$).

As Safir Daily that a meeting is expected to be held between Speaker Nabih Berri and a Future Movement delegation, stressing that communication channels remain open with Berri.
Separately, Berri’s sources said that the latter is asking all political parties to assume responsibility and ratify a new electoral law approved by all parties as soon as possible.
