A spokeswoman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights announced on Friday that the commission has concluded that Palestinian-US journalist Sheereen Abou Aqleh was killed on May 11 by Israeli forces.
“All the information we collected, including from the Israeli army and the Palestinian attorney general, confirm the fact that the shots that killed Abou Aqleh and wounded her colleague Ali Al-Samudi were fired by the Israeli security forces and not by random shots from armed Palestinians as Israeli authorities initially claimed,” Ravina Shamdasani said at a press conference in Geneva.
