Lebanese Myriam Fares sends wholesome message to FIFA

For 2022, the world’s eyes were focused on Qatar, as it became the first Arab country to host the FIFA World Cup, shining the light on many local and regional celebrities who took the spotlight and performed for football fans from around the world.  

The Lebanese singer, producer, entertainer, and actor Myriam Fares achieved remarkable success during her participation in the most important sporting event, breaking barriers and collaborating with Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj and Colombian singer Maluma, for Tukoh Taka, the official FIFA Fan Festival Anthem. 

In a post on Facebook, Myriam expressed that she had achieved her childhood dream of collaborating with FIFA.  

“The message I carried from the beginning of my artistic career is to unite Arab culture with my art. I translated it with 21 performances over an hour and a half, addressing various Arab arts and cultures on the FIFA stage for the fans. I had the opportunity to introduce it not only to Arab fans but fans coming from around the world.  

She thanked the State of Qatar and the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) for choosing her to sing the official song. “This is a source of pride for me, and I thank everyone who contributed to the success of this event.”
