UK asking to step up pressure on Syria
British Foreign Minister William Hague told BBC on Monday that the international community will do everything in its power to increase pressure on Assad’s regime.

Hague’s remarks come after Syrian President Bashar Assad announced that he will not buckle under pressure to end his eight-month crackdown against Syrian protesters. 

“I have spoken with Arab league officials about the possibility of increasing pressure on the Syrian regime”, Hague said, depicting the Syrian regime’s actions as “appalling and unacceptable”.
