Lebanese national elected new mayor of Holroyd in Sydney

Lebanese national Nasr Kafrouni was elected the new mayor of the town of Holroyd in Sydney, Australia, a town where a large number of Lebanese expatriates live.

While receiving crowds of well-wishers at his residence in Maryland, Kafrouni expressed his honor to represent the Lebanese community in the municipality of Holroyd, stressing that the Lebanese people proved that they are capable of succeeding in many fields in Australia.

Nasr Kafrouni, who hails from the region of Akkar, North Lebanon, left for Australia in 1977.
