Berri: attack on UNIFIL targets people, army, resistance equation

Speaker Nabih Berri said on Tuesday that the recent attack on UNIFIL targets the tripartite equation that protects Lebanon: the people, the army, the resistance. 

Following his meeting with UNIFIL force Commander, Major-General Alberto Asarta, Berri said "Statements are not enough. Instead, we have to work [together] as a people, army, and resistance, in tandem with UNIFIL.        

Berri hoped that the cabinet will increase diesel oil prices as part of measures to ease the economic burden off the citizens’ shoulders, calling for purchasing olive oil from farmers.     

Berri also met with the British Ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher with whom he tackled recent developments.
