Israeli settlers torched mosque in Ramallah

Israeli settlers torched the fifth floor of the Burqa mosque in Ramallah in the West Bank, causing heavy damage to the carpets and furniture, according to residents. The Palestinian authority considered this incident as a “declaration of war” against Palestinian people.

The head of Burqa’s council Abdel Qader Abdel Jalil told AFP that, around midnight, residents noticed flames erupting from the top floor, reserved for women, and attempted to extinguish the fire before it destroyed the whole building.
