Russia’s Putin signs law punishing separatism

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law which stipulates jailing those who spread separatist ideas for 5 years.

The Russian news agency RIA Novosti said Putin signed the law submitted by the Communist Party to the Russian State Duma, noting that people will also pay a fine that reaches up to 300,000 rubles ($9,200) if they call for action against Russia’s territorial integrity.
