Man sets water on fire on YouTube video

            
A man living in North Dakota has gained a lot of attention online after posting a video on YouTube depicting himself setting fire to highly flammable water gushing from his bathroom tap.          

Jacob Haughney is seen lighting up a yellow fireball from a flowing tap by putting a flame to the liquid.         

According to the Daily Mail, Haughney works on oil fields near his home in the US state of North Dakota, now the center of a chydraulic fracturing boom, also known as fracking.              

It is a process by which natural gas is extracted by using water, sand and toxic chemicals injected at high pressure into oil of methane gas deposits to fracture the rock above and release the liquid or gas below. 

It has unlocked reserves that could supply the U.S. for 100 years, although environmentalists say that fracking can contaminate water supplies.              

Campaigners against fracking have previously documented flammable water.
