UN nuclear inspectors will visit Iran's Gchine uranium mine in coming days, their chief said on Friday, under a cooperation agreement signed late last year to help allay international concern about Tehran's nuclear program.
Yukiya Amano, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), did not give further details about the planned visit in response to a question at a news conference.
Earlier, Amano called on member states to help pay for an increased inspector workload in Iran as a result of its task to verify the implementation of a landmark nuclear deal with world powers.
But he told an extraordinary meeting of the IAEA's 35-nation governing board that "there is still a long way to go". REUTERS
