Man rocketed 50 meters into the air while still asleep

A Japanese comedian, strapped to a bed and sound asleep, was rocketed through the roof of a shed as dawn broke over Mount Fuji.

The joke was aired on a Japanese television special named Dokkiri Award (dokkiri means ‘being surprised’).

After the incident, comedian Toshiaki Kasuga claimed, in a radio interview, that he was told he had to be at Mt. Fuji base in order to work early the next morning.

He arrived the night before to the location and in a bid to keep warm in the freezing temperatures, went out with the crew to get drunk.

Kasuga apparently slept very soundly, because he claims not to have woken as a crew attached bungee cord to his bed and tied him with it.

He added that fireworks then exploded under his bed, noting that he was rocketed, bed and all, through the cabin’s roof 50 meters into the air.

Japanese television is well-known for its elaborate, expensive and terrifying pranks played on unsuspecting members of the public for general entertainment purposes.
