Dog saves woman's life by sniffing out cancer
Diane Papazian, from New York, said that her Doberman dog detected a tumor in her breast, after persistently nuzzling into her chest when he was just a four-month-old puppy.

Mrs Papazian explained that her dog, Troy, kept nuzzling into her breast causing an itchy allergic reaction and when she itched it, she found a lump and decided to go for a mammogram, although she had one just six months earlier.As a result, she was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer.

Mrs Papazian, 56, went on to have a double mastectomy and chemotherapy and is now cancer-free, as Troy, a show dog, is currently the number one Doberman in New York State and ranks ninth in the US.

He has also been nominated by the American Humane Association for the Hero Dog of the Year award.

Mrs Papazian, married to 57-year-old Harry, said: ‘I'm very grateful for Troy - not only is he an amazing and compassionate dog, but he saved my life.”
