France expects progress on Syrian issue

French Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that France expects that the UN Security Council meeting on Syria held today in New York will lead to a true progress.

The ministry’s spokesperson Bernard Valero said in a press conference that a preliminary experts’ meeting was held on Tuesday and another one will be held on Thursday in New York. “We expect that Russia will utilize its influence to move forward in negotiations”, Valero said.
