REPORT: Regime forces establish full control over al-Sahl and al-Aqaba areas in Damascus

The state-run Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Monday that regime troops established full control over the town of al-Sahl north of Yabroud and al-Aqaba area in al-Qalamoun.

The news agency stated that army soldiers "eliminated all terrorist groups," stressing that they were even able to make significant progress in the Rima farms.                 SANA also mentioned that "terrorist hideouts in the towns of Ras al-Ein and Yabroud and their surroundings were destroyed."

Meanwhile, the Syrian Foreign Ministry accused the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon of “not being objective concerning the Syrian file.”

The accusation comes hours after Ban Ki Moon criticized the behavior of the Syrian government’s delegation to the Geneva II peace talks.

“It regrettable to hear the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon launch statements that go against the truth and lack objectivity concerning the humanitarian situation in Syria and the behavior of the Syrian government’s delegation to the Geneva II peace talks,” the ministry said in a statement published by SANA.
