Pope offers prayers for victims of Turkish mine collapse
            
Pope Francis on Wednesday offered prayers for the victims of the Turkish mine collapse, which has left at least 205 people dead.787 people were inside the coal mine in Soma, some 250 kilometers (155 miles) south of Istanbul, at the time of the explosion on Tuesday and 363 of them have been rescued so far.          

Francis also asked his weekly audience to pray for those who lost their lives when a migrant boat capsized in the Mediterranean sea on Monday, just beyond Libya's territorial waters, killing at least 14 people.             

"Let's put human rights first, let's pray for that, human rights must be put first, and let's unite our forces to prevent these shameful massacres," he said.
