REPORT: Syrian elections stir controversy on social media platforms

Syrians voted on Tuesday in an election expected to deliver an overwhelming victory for President Bashar al-Assad but which his opponents have dismissed as a farce amid Syria's devastating civil war.

This report will examine the comments of activists on social networking sites regarding the Syrian presidential bid.
