Dad gets 4 years in death of son left in hot car
An Arizona man has been sentenced to four years in prison for leaving his infant son inside a hot car for several hours without air conditioning last summer.

Daniel Bryant Gray was sentenced Friday in the Aug. 28 death of 3-month-old Jamison Gray.

Authorities say Gray left the boy in the car after parking outside a Scottsdale sports bar where he worked as a manager. They say Gray smoked marijuana during part of the time he was gone.

He had faced a possible prison sentence ranging from probation to 12  years, though his plea agreement limited his sentence to no more than six years.

Gray discovered the child when he returned to his sedan to get paperwork. It was about 100 degrees outside at the time.
