Syrian actress Suzanne Salman killed by mortar shell in Damascus
         
Syrian actress Suzanne Salman was killed on Thursday by a mortar shell which landed near her residence in central Damascus, State news agency SANA and relatives reported.        

Before the shelling, Salman had posted a message on Facebook saying: “A shell has landed near my house”.        

Shortly afterwards, the victim's relatives announced on social media websites that she was killed.            

Originally from Sawde, a town in the western province of Tartus, Salman lived in the central Damascus neighborhood of Qaimariyeh.

The actress starred in a number of television series, the latest of which was titled “All This Love”, a 30-episode program about love in wartime.
